Living in Berlin – Jan 2015

The first month of 2015 is complete and I am so excited to share how the first 31 days of the year unfolded.

Jan 1st started with ringing in the year with the wonderful friends who have made our transition to Berlin so amazing.  Tyler celebrated his birthday and was playing at Tante Emma in Kruezberg.  While the party was still going, I headed home at 6am to prepare for the 1st run of the year – The 44th Annual Berlin New Year’s Run.  Lululemon invited me to join them and as it was only 4km, I figured, this run will set precedence of the year for an active and fit year.  PLUS, I’m not sure how soon I’ll be able to run the Berlin Marathon and cross Brandenburger Tor so this was my opportunity.  I had a perma-grin the entire time! Even though I was running on only 4 hrs sleep, I was enjoying every minute!

The BIGGEST news… on January 12th,  I FINALLY got my Visa!!

After almost 7 months in Berlin, my freelance Visa to work as a fitness professional trainer was approved for 2 years.  I was and still am so ecstatic!!

1. I get to live and work in Berlin. Ich liebe Berlin!!

2. I get to launch my passion business internationally  “Empowering millions to see their true potential and live healthier, happier lives” (

3. Tyler and I are living out our dreams.  Less than two years ago, when Tyler got into a fatal car accident that he miraculously walked away from without a scratch, we decided life is too short to not pursue our passion.  We are here and we are making it happen.

I am SO fortunate that I found a company that aligns with my vision of wholistic health and fitness.  When Tyler and I first arrived in Berlin we lived near Schönhauser Allee and I saw a new studio open up called Empower3 – Empower Your Body, Mind and Energy (  Who knew seven months later, I would be CEO and Corporate Trainer.  I have an amazing team and a beautiful boutique studio.  We are all passionate about helping people be the best version of themselves and look forward to this amazing journey with them.

And if my January couldn’t get any better, on Jan 23rd, I was officially asked to be Lululemon Mitte Showroom Ambassador.  OMG!!!  (ha ha… I didn’t know what it meant at first but of course I said – YES!)

I LOVE LULULEMON!  It was love at first Groove Pant, since trying a pair on in the W4th Ave store 12 years ago.  However, it’s not only their flattering, stylish, high quality products that I love.  It’s also their corporate culture which is reflected in their manifesto and the employees they hire.  I have had the privilege to get the know the wonderful ladies at the Berlin Showrooms with all the fun events we participate in and now I am officially part of the Lululemon family!!  I am SO honoured.  We’re going to have a phenomenal time together.

It’s been a crazy busy January filled with many opportunities.  I look forward to sharing many more adventures of our new life in Berlin and Living the Vida Fit Life.

If you have any questions or comments, I would love to hear from you.
